Anthony Joshua “prepares” for Showdown With Deontay Wilder

In December, Anthony Joshua will face Deontay Wilder in Saudi Arabia. Joshua is “getting ready” for the battle, which has been seeking for seven years. The two-time heavyweight world champion celebrated his return with clean points against his opponent, Jermaine Franklin at the O2 Arena in April. Besides, this is the first stage in a three-fight plan designed to get him back on the leaderboard in the world boxing ranking.

However, those plans changed shortly after the triumph in O2 Arena, when ‘AJ’ said a week later, he won’t be out until December.

There have been many rumors in heavyweight boxing about a fantastic four-man tournament with its top fighters, Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, Oleksandr Usyk, and Tyson Fury. It has been speculated that Usyk and Fury’s undisputed title fight, which would be a historic occasion for the boxing sport, may take place the same night as Joshua and Wilder’s fight.

Anthony Joshua has fought Against Andy Ruiz Jr. in 2019 and in his rematch with Usyk last summer. Also, the gold medalist from the 2012 Olympics fought twice in Saudi Arabia, which is aiming to become the sport’s next center of gravity. According to Joshua, his crew arrangements to pull all his four box office together under one roof in the city, is said to be a bold move and intelligent idea.

Joshua told, “From my experiences with Saudi if they say they are going to do something, they are definitely going to do it.” Just like saying the probability that something would happen is eighty-five percent (85%) and that’s one advantage and greenlight there.

After that “Then you step back and let the other people [promoter Eddie Hearn and his management team] handle their business. But it’s crucial to begin planning and working out because you are the star, the man for the showdown.”

Since Joshua won his first world championship in 2016, collecting the IBF belt after knocking out Charles Martin on one of his most lauded career nights, Joshua and Wilder have been matched for a championship fight.

The WBC title was won by Wilder a year earlier, and he successfully defended it ten times before Tyson Fury ended his reign in February 2020.

The expectation for them to meet increased after Joshua won the IBF, WBA, and WBO titles simultaneously in 2018, but an agreement was never reached. Despite the fact that both men have subsequently lost their world championships, interest in one of the sport’s biggest fights still exists among the boxing industry.

He is good, and I respect him and don’t put him down. The Bronze Bomber will force me to step up my game,’ Joshua made his remark. I admire what he has accomplished, particularly in our division. I have to respect him for doing it because becoming a champion is not easy.

It will be a difficult battle, but I am confident in my abilities. I’m a better, more complete boxer as well as a better, more complete athlete.

I genuinely think it is 95% there in terms of things getting delivered [from my side].

Money will always be available; the only question is how much you want. Joshua continued. I believe that money will always be made from fighting, and we all strive to make money.

It shouldn’t have needed the large offer to get it across the finish line, but I don’t know. I wish we had initiated this fight years before. You may succeed outside the ring and make money within it. However, you must be willing to battle anyway. The issue is not whether the agreement is right; that is the incorrect perspective.

The 33-year-old made another change to his corner before the Franklin bout after losing to Usyk twice in a row. He teamed up with Derrick James, the only active trainer who has two unified world champions among his boxers in Errol Spence Jr. and Jermell Charlo.
