Don Kello hailed from Omambala, Umumbo Ayamelum L.G.A, Anambra State. He is a great lover of music and has played the traditional ikolo sound for many years. He started music in the year 1997 and after some time he moved to Lagos in search of a greener pasture before he traveled to Jamaica where he fell in love with Reggae and Ragga Sound.
He went to 512 primary school, Festac town and also attended Festac Grammar School. Music is a family thing for Don Kello as he stressed it that the Amobia people taught him and his peers how to play highlife music when he was in Nnokwa, Anambra State.
